OpenSource Mail Server

postfix-logo I have just completed another mail server install using Postfix, Dovecot and Roundcube.

Dovecot is an open source IMAP and POP3 email server for Linux/UNIX-like systems, written with security primarily in mind. Dovecot is an excellent choice for both small and large installations. It's fast, simple to set up, requires no special administration and it uses very little memory.

Web Cam Security

Just completed another little project, which I have been thinking about for quite a while.  Have you ever wanted to make use of that little web cam that's been lying in a draw gathering dust.  Well now you can!

I hooked up a little web cam and configured it through Ubuntu as a motion triggered security camera.  Never thought it would be so easy.  I have set this up so I can view a room remotely and when motion has been detected it will send me an email warning me of an intruder.
